A Terrific, Traffic Light Green Columbian Emerald and Old Cut Diamond Ring Ca1920/30.

£8,450.00

A superb Emerald and Diamond ring with a top quality ‘Columbian Emerald’. The green is vibrant and almost glowy, it’s just how an emerald should be ; clean and traffic light green, with hardly any visible inclusions.
The emerald measures 6.5mm X 5m and is set in fine millegrain. The encircling diamonds are fat ‘Old mine cuts’ and measure approximately xxx. They are set in fine millegrain. They are estimated to be H colour and of VS to Si quality. They are fine, bright and lively. There is one tiny nick to the girdle of one, but only observable through a loupe and it’s so minor, that it’s negligible.
The shank is plain and tested as platinum. Inside is an engraving of numbers. The bezel is finely worked with delicate scallop loops. To the underbelly, the emerald is encased in a well made ‘basket’. This is a super quality ring from the Deco era. Everything about it is top quality.
I haven’t had the emerald certified yet, but from my gemmological experience I can say for sure , that it will come back as a ‘Columbian, no oil’ or ‘Columbian, minor oil’. This ring can be sized up and down to all sizes.
