A most charming brooch depicting a sweet fairy with delicate, translucent wings amongst the flowers. The fairy has a paint brush in one hand and an artist’s palette in the other . Finely painted on ivory, encased in glass with gold frame, encircled with good, rose cut diamonds. The gold disc is engraved with the words ‘‘Sybil’ 16th March 1899’. The little brooch has a C catch and a tapered pin for closing.
