A Gorgeous Columbian Emerald and Diamond Cluster Ring Ca1920-35
A gorgeous Columbian emerald ring, Ca1920/30 with French import marks, lovely chunky, white and clean 'Old mine cut' diamonds and a 'traffic light green' emerald with no visible inclusions. The emerald measures 0.6cm across and in length and is an 'Octagonal Square Step cut'. The Columbian emerald is very green and vibrant in colour ; this kind of emerald is highly prized and sought after by dealers and collectors alike. It has not yet been certified, but in my opinion would come back as a 'Columbian No Oil' or 'Minor Oil'.
this is because the emerald has no visible inclusions. Columbian emeralds are the best in the world. The emerald measures approximately 1ct and is 'Claw set' with 18ct yellow gold, to give the emerald the warmth it needs to be at its best.
The encircling diamonds are lively, bright and clean. All 10 of them are super diamonds, 'Old mine cuts' with lovely cut culets to dance in the candlelight. They are estimated to be of G colour and VS clarity. The diamonds are set in platinum, which sets off the diamonds brilliantly. They measure approximately 0.13ct each, and total 1.30 cts. To the shoulders are flanked two 'Old mine cut' diamonds and finish off the ring nicely. The shank is a lovely butter coloured polished yellow gold, 18ct ; the shoulder diamonds measure approximately 0.08ct each. The r ing is currently a size 'M' U.K, 61/2 U.S.A. This ring can be sized up and down.
The shank has an Owl stamp, a French import mark.
This ring is very high quality, with the most loveliest of stones.
