A charming pair of Fly shaped Bohemian Garnet earrings with the Victorian sentiments of ‘Fly to me ‘, in low carat ‘garnet gold’. The garnets are ‘rose cut’, and have a lovely deep, burgundy , pomegranate shade . They are bright and ‘pave set’. The thorax of the fly, is cut ‘en cabochon’ and is pear shaped. The eyes are made from natural seed pearls. These have not been tested, but are in keeping with age and appearance. The shepherd’s crooks are later addition. There has been a little stripping to some of the garnet gold at the back of the fly. Otherwise, in good condition.
