A pair of gorgeous Amethyst (tested) foil back earrings from the Georgian era, Ca1820. The facetted Amethyst is an ‘Old cut’ stone, in superb condition with no nicks or fractures. They are both clean stones, which are ‘Collet set’ in silver (tested) with lovely , dark patina. Above these, are colourless paste facetted ‘Old cut’s’ with silver collet setting, the. silver being present both front and back. They are in great condition too. The backs on the Amethysts are of high carat gold, perfect condition with no dents but light scratches as fitting age and use. . Fittings are gold shepherds crooks.
