A striking Art Deco diamond and platinum ring, dating to circa 1925–1935, displaying the strong geometry and architectural elegance characteristic of the period.
The ring is centred with an old-cut round diamond which is rub-over set. Estimated to be of G colour and VS quality. Two elongated tapered baguette-cut diamonds are arranged on the cardinal points, creating a wonderfully graphic, almost compass-like design. Further old-cut and single-cut diamonds are set into the pierced, geometric shoulders, giving the ring sparkle from every angle while retaining the crisp symmetry so associated with Art Deco jewellery.
The finely pierced gallery allows light beneath the stones, while the slender platinum shank keeps the emphasis firmly on the beautifully constructed diamond-set head. French marks for Platinum. Ring is resizeable.
