Lovely Australian Cabochon Opal and 'Old Mine cut' Cluster Ring Ca 1920

A beautiful white Australian Opal ring with rainbow coloured flashes of colour. The base of the colour is white and all the tones and flashes can be seen as you turn the ring and look down on it. The cabochon is in super condition, with no scratches or nicks. It measures 1.2cm X 1.1cm and is 'Claw set' with very fine yellow gold claws. Encircling the stone are 22 'Old mine cut' diamonds. The are estimated to be 0.02cts each, total of 0.44cts. The diamonds are very sparkly and lively, because they are very clean, VS stones of of high colour, G/H estimation. These encircling diamonds are all 'Claw set'. The colour of the gold is a lovely, melt in the mouth, butter colour. The shoulders are of a 'fleur de lys' style.
The ring is currently a size 'O' (U.K), 7 (U.S.A) and can be easily sized up and down.
