A Charming Silver locket with ‘table cut’ paste stones which are ‘pave set’. They are original stones which show very little abrasion and tiny nibbles on a few stones through the loupe. This cannot be seen with the naked eye. The central red stone mimics a ruby and has a few ‘nibbles’ which can only be seen using a loupe. This is all to be expected due to the age of the piece. The stones are cut in the Georgian/Early Victorian fashion which is thoroughly charming. The link adjoining the pendant with the bail has a ‘Boar’ mark. This indicates it was imported into France and is made of Silver. The locket opens from the side to reveal a photo of two sweethearts. Someone who they wanted to keep close to their heart. It contains the original glass case which is in very good condition with no cracks or chips.
This is an early Victorian/Late Georgian Piece, of about Ca 1800-1840. The locket has no dents, no repair and is in excellent condition.
The silver chain has a bolt ring fastener which is in good working order.
