A beautiful , fiery fire opal ring with diamonds, set in gold and platinum. There are ten, ‘Eight cut’ Diamonds in millegrain setting, of approximately 0.04cts each, G/H in colour and VS in clarity. The ring is platinum tipped, rest being yellow gold, stamped in European configuration, 585, for 14ct. The orange opal itself, is rub over set in yellow gold for the warmth of the colour. There is triangular shaped open work to the edges of the ring, in platinum setting, thus enhancing the ring. The opal measures 7mm X 9mm which is approximately 0.75ct.
The opal has no chips, or nicks and is in lovely condition. It is a bright and lively opal with good fire and dispersion. It is cut in the emerald fashion, an emerald cut, but with scissor faceting at the back, adding to the dispersion and fire. It is a clean and clear stone.
The ring can be easily sized up and down.
