A Victorian Natural Burma Ruby Five Stone and Diamond Ring Ca 1880

£6,450.00

A beautiful Natural, untreated Burma Ruby ring with a surround of ‘Old mine’ cut Diamonds, set Silver on Gold, Ca 1880. The Diamonds are estimated to be H/I colour and of VS clarity, and all in good nick. The Burmese Rubies are ‘glowy’ and with a delightful pink/red/glowy colour that is so specific to Burma Ruby. It is the fluorescence that causes this special glow. These lovely Rubies are ‘Oval cut’ and are ‘Claw set’. I would estimate them to be 2ct. in total. The bright Diamonds are half collet set in Silver and secured by claws. This effect produces a lovely patina. The shoulders are split into three and lead to a single, plain shank .The ring is able to be resized. Layaway options are available.
