A gorgeous Art Deco French ring with a central Peridot with Diamond double surround. The stones are set in a beautifully sculptured handmade mount. It's a lovely 'fresh' ring which makes a big statement. The peridot is 'Cushion cut' and in super condition and is set in a 'Rub over' fashion. The Diamonds are 'Old Mine cuts' and 'Rose cuts' and are in good condition. They are delicately set in a fine millegrain surround. There is a lovely curve to the mount when viewed from the side, it looks like a mini dome. To the back of the shank, is a dog's head stamp, the Platinum mark for France. The ring is currently a size 'K' (U.K), 5 1/2 (U.S) and can easily be sized up and down. It measures 2cm X 2cm and the Peridot measures 1cm x 0.85cm approximately.
