A Bright and Vibrant Burma Ruby and 'Old Cut' Diamond Edwardian Ring

£4,450.00

A very obvious 'Burma Ruby' , recognizable immediately by its strong, vibrant and glowing pinky/red colour. The 'Burma' presents itself an Edwardian 'Toi et Moi' ring, with a chunky 'Old Mine cut' Diamond weighing approximately 0.40ct and the Ruby weighing approximately 0.43ct. The Ruby is a clean (no visible inclusions via loupe) vibrant, glowing, pinky/red shade under sunlight or electric light. The two larger stones have smaller diamond and ruby surround, in 'Rose cut' and 'Old Mine Cut'. They for accents around the larger two stones and on the shoulders. The larger stones are 'Claw set' and the smaller ones, 'Rub over set'. Three bands become one, at the back of the ring. The 18ct tested, yellow gold is a lovely, melt in the mouth butter colour. The diamonds are G/H colour and of VS/Si clarity. Natural Burma Rubies of this colour and clarity are both rare and scarce. This can be sized up and down, and is currently a size M (U.K), 6 1/2 (U.S)
This is a VERY pretty ring and both timeless and elegant.
